John Marratt has spent the past 15 years in sales and marketing. Having first worked in the commercial real estate industry in Atlanta, he later moved on to residential and small commercial finance having worked with both SunTrust Bank and then Wells Fargo Bank. The past 2 years John has been working in the Cost Segregation Field helping clients analyze their finances and increasing their cash flow through use of cost segregation engineering studies on their commercial properties.
John has a great interest in global economic and political trends and how they affect the domestic markets. As well, Johns work with PTPBLOG allows him to marry that interest with the topics affecting the Ports-To-Plains Alliance corridor.
Born in Mexico City, Mexico and having lived in Brazil, Argentina, Panama and then the US, John is familiar with a variety of unique environments and cultures. In 1983 he moved to Atlanta where he graduated from Woodward Academy. He completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He later went on to receive his real estate license and his mortgage finance certification from the Capstone Institute.
John, his family and 2 German Shepherds reside in Atlanta where they enjoy family time. John is an avid follower of college football and golf. Active in his community, he is a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, resides on the Lynwood Park Development Corporation Board of Directors and is on the Steering Committee for InfraGard Atlanta.
