Eastern Alberta Corridor Initiative Introduced

On November 3-5, 2011 Ports-to-Plains Alliance joined the communities making up the Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor, including three Regional Economic Development Associations, Alberta HUB, Battle River Alliance for Economic Development (BRAED) and Palliser Economic Partnership (PEP) in a series of meeting across eastern Alberta to introduce the Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor Initiative and how it relates to Foreign Direct opportunities.

“It is exciting to see the development of the Eastern Alberta Corridor project, and developing an even stronger partnership within the Ports-to-Plains Alliance;”  They are our northern anchor and a key partner for all of our members;” stated Ports-to-Plains Alliance President Michael Reeves, “They are our northern anchor and a key partner for all of our members.”

Below is a news release that followed the presentation in St. Paul, AB, as well as the the presentations and handouts from the meetings.

The Ports-to-Plains Alliance recognizes the important relationship with Alberta as it mirrors the U.S. economy with its strength in agriculture and energy and greatly contributes to the energy security of North America.
