State Representative Drew Darby, R-San Angelo, chose a road trip across Texas and through Lubbock to focus on roads, bridges and the state transportation system he says is in need of attention.
"I feel a little bit like Paul Revere," Darby said told a Lubbock audience Tuesday evening. "I'm not saying 'the British are coming', but the potholes are coming."
Darby, vice chairman of the House Transportation Committee, and the Texas Good Roads/Transportation Association urged an audience of Lubbock leaders to keep transportation in mind and consider options to improve state roads, highways and bridges during a reception hosted by the association and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.
